The fall video game rush comes early this year, as September features a beefy number of new titles. From Japanese RPGs to energetic sports games to handheld visual novels and side-scrolling action, this month features promising games across all platforms.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, the immersive sim/stealth RPG by Eidos Montreal, stole the show last month. It features staggeringly detailed cyberpunk locales, hours of lengthy side quests, rich stealth gameplay, and excellent character interactions, making it a fantastic grab. Fighting game fans also had The King of Fighters XIV to cut their teeth on, which includes a roster of 50+ characters, rebalanced KOF gameplay, and all-new 3D visuals. MMORPG players could dive into Legion, the latest expansion for the online behemoth World of Warcraft, which raised the level cap to 110, added artifact weapons, a new class, and all new dungeons.

Expect hot titles every week throughout the month of September. The adventure/visual novel series Phoenix Wright gets a new iteration with Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice for the Nintendo 3DS. Sports game fans get not one, two, but three highly competitive sport sims this month. Two excellent Japanese RPGs hit the Nintendo 3DS, as well. But there are many other excellent titles arriving on store and digital shelves in the coming weeks, so take a look at the slideshow to keep track of them all.
